Nut-Free Policy.

Scott Families, At Scott Elementary, the safety and well-being of our students is always our top priority. Because several of our Scotties have severe nut allergies, we are a Nut-Free Campus. This means we kindly ask that families avoid sending items that contain nuts or nut products in student lunches, snacks, or shared treats for events.

Some common items to watch for include:

  • Lunchables or snacks with peanuts or nut-based candy
  • Peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches
  • Granola, cereal, or fruit bars with nuts
  • Chocolate or sweets with nuts
  • Breads or pastries containing sesame or almonds (such as hummus, tahini, or almond croissants)
  • Pesto or other foods prepared with nut oils
  • Cakes or baked goods made with nuts

While our food suppliers provide nut-free options, we cannot guarantee products are entirely free from trace amounts. Your partnership in sending nut-free food from home is essential to keeping all of our Scotties safe and healthy.

Thank you for your support and understanding in helping us provide a safe environment for every child.

With appreciation,
Quinessa Williams
